You ever heard of 'Sell in May and Go Away"?

I think it's most applicable to No/Slow Growth stocks. So, ya, be patient, unless you think your target stock had suddenly evolved into a Growth Stock.

You can only buy when everyone is selling, provided you dont buy when everyone is buying. Well, you just need to learn to be aware of your emotions and manage them, if you don't wish to be the 'typical' mum-n-pop that ends up buying high/selling low.

As many have said, you are your greatest enemy. Smile
xd today and bad timing as market appears to be fearful today. Closed @ $3.09, -15ct for a Div = 12.5ct. Decided to activate my 'Shares Buy-Back' program as I happened to be a 'Die-Die-Must-Have-STEng' person... Tongue
Didn't know the stock market is so interesting today, not monitoring intra-day prices seemed to have its downside too.
Frankly, i am only in the mood of letting go slowly. i only will buy if there is a "real bargain" like maybe a rights issue with overhang of nil paid rights selling in the market (that is N P R + S P < then TERP) Of course the rights issue should be value accrediting or capital structure is strengthened to prepare for capital expansion.Big GrinTongue
think it will go down further.... :O
wait and see ba! Tongue
Nobody really knows. But everybody should have his buying and selling price for a particular stock, besides taking market sentiments into account.Big GrinTongue
STEng Q112 results will be out today. For me, Q4 is the most important as it pays the higher dividend followed by Q2. Usually, I don't follow the odd Qs too closely.

For the fun of it, baring any significant Extraordinary Gains/Loss, my dusty crystal ball predicts the EPS = 3.72ct to 3.89ct vs 3.65ct (Q111) vs 4.95ct (Q411).

Anything less means a downgrade from me and anything more, an upgrade. Tongue

I ought to delete/modify my last post since I'm totally out! ~ 12.85% better than my best case forecast. Not complaining though...Tongue

EPS = 4.39ct

Financials
Press Release

Had a quick scan of the financials and found the main 'culprit' that messed up my crystal ball. On pg 17 of 23, there's a $15.7M Profit (vs Loss $0.8M in Q111) contributed by 'Others' which is explained to be from Airshow 2012 + Gain on divestment of bonds. Smaller +ve from Aerospace, Electronics, Marine & -ve from Land Systems.
